Chef "Light" Wayu Wattanakamin has 15 years of culinary-industry experience. And is a member of Club Master Chefs Thailand.

Originally from Thailand, he began his career after culinary school by opening his own restaurant. He later explored international cuisine at the Sahara Resorts in Kuwait, the Millennium Plaza Hotel in Dubai, the Diplomatic Club in Doha, and Restaurant Blue Elephant in Hilton Malta, Europe. Minor foods group Singapore and Latin America at Banyan Tree Mayakoba, 4 Diamond ​restaurants in Grand Velas Riviera Maya, and many more throughout Europe and Southeast Asia.


His experience and talent create a combination of inspiration that stems from recipes passed down from his mother, keeping traditional food and flavors of the Thai Kitchen in every dish.


Today he is consultant Chef of Nara Thai Kitchen in Irvine, California.  where his menu balances modern and ancient cuisine, playing on new textures and original presentations with fresh and traditional ingredients.
